Export Procedures & Documentation
Tuesday 2 June

The seminar covers a wide range of Export Documentation procedures including a practical to produce a commercial invoice, Certificate of Origin, EUR1 and ATRs, getting paid and an introduction to Letters of Credit.

Introduction to International Trade
Monday 15 June

The course provides a fundamental foundation into the export/import process, terminology, how to build an export price, VAT and getting paid, Incoterms, HM Customs, import licences, import duty, payment, quotas, and import management.

Letters of Credit
Wednesday 1 July

The course explains the process in great detail by showing examples and providing the delegates the opportunity to complete a Letter of Credit and understanding UCP 600. The workshop finishes with a number of practical exercises to take delegates through procedures to prepare and check documents.

UKTI’s North West International Trade Team together with the North West Regional Development Agency invite North West companies to participate in a mission to World of Private Label ® at the RAI Exhibition Center, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Organised by the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) World of Private Label® is, for many visitors, the most important international tradeshow of the year, as well as an opportunity for manufacturers and retailers to meet and work together. Devoted entirely to private label, World of Private Label® covers all major products including:

  • Fresh, frozen and refrigerated foods
  • Dry Groceries
  • Snacks and Beverages
  • Exhibitors from over 70 countries are expected in 2009 • There will be over 3000 exhibit stands spanning 11 halls, as well as 30 national and regional pavilions promoting their products, region and country

UIA representatives will be visiting the UK from 30 March to 3 April, and they would be delighted to meet with potential companies at their offices, should they wish to discuss the opportunities afforded by investing in Uganda.
