Which North African country has a $100 billion Wealth Fund, has more than 35 international oil companies engaged in production and exploration, is rapidly and massively increasing investment in infrastructure, and is attracting more foreign interest than ever before? The answer is Libya.

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) is providing the opportunity for as many UK fi rms as possible to hear about the best ways of doing profi table business in Libya. The first step is awareness – and events in recent years have spread the word. The second step is to design an approach to doing business there which suits your needs, fits with evolving Libyan laws, and places you alongside the right partners and clients.

The events are for UK companies interested in Libya, and will feature introductions, presentations and case studies from a Director of NOC, the former British Ambassador to Libya and senior executives experienced in the market. The topics will cover a range of issues from selling and investment, financing trade and tax issues.

UKTI has three workshops entitled Doing Business in Libya – the Second Step in three UK cities:

  • With SDI in Aberdeen, Hilton Treetops Hotel – 26 November 2008
  • Manchester, Midland Hotel – 27 November 2008
  • London, BERR, 1 Victoria Street – 28 November 2008

Please complete the booking form indicating which venue you would like to attend and return it to the LBBC either by email or fax. There is no charge for attendance. The Libyan British Business Co will acknowledge your reservation by email.
