Wild in Art, coordinators of the Go Superlambanas project are delighted to confirm that the Superlambanana auction will take place at 6.30pm on Tuesday 9 September at St George’s Hall, Liverpool where approximately 70 of the beautifully created  Superlambananas will take centre stage to raise a significant amount of money for The Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal 2008. The beneficiaries are:

  • The Alder Hey Imagine Appeal
  • The Marina Dalglish Appeal
  • Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital’s Merseybeat Appeal
  • Liverpool & S.Sefton Branch, Alzheimer’s Society

There is  an unprecedented amount of interest from people  who have expressed interest in attending the auction and bidding for the Superlambananas.

Sally- Ann Wilkinson of Wild In Art said: “The normal price for a ticket is to the auction is £40. Bear in mind that the Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal will benefit most from an auction full of the highest bidders possible.

We expect bidding to begin for each SLB at £3,000. At similar events we have seen individual pieces attracting up to £25,000 and we want to be as ambitious as possible in how much we can leave to our Liverpool charities. Go Superlambananas will donate 75% of the net proceeds to The Lord Mayor’s Charity.”

If you would like to attend the auction, email gosuperlambananas.enquiry@live.co.uk.

We are a small Birkenhead based company employing 16 people mostly locally based, LTM- Lift Turn Move Ltd, exhibiting at a major international exhibition in Earls Court in September- Plasa. we sell equipment for lifting lighting rigs etc in the entertainment area. We did lots of work in the new Liverpool Arena and Convention Centre.

I wonder if we could ”borrow” a SuperLambbanana for the exhibition to help us gets lots of clients on the stand, sell loads more kit, get lots of publicity and keep us all in work?

Wouldn’t we all like to ‘borrow’ a superlambanana to promote our businesses; perhaps you should change the word to ‘hire’ ! 🙂

To bid for any of the lambananas in the online auction you need to go to http://www.gosuperlambananas.co.uk/ From there you should be able to find the link to the internet auction (on the left hand side of your screen) with directions on how to bid. Good luck!
