Liverpool Chamber of Commerce’s Pub Watch Manager Joe Curran met with health minister Alan Johnson recently when  MP visited Liverpool.

The pair discussed some of the major issues facing Liverpool’s licensees at present, including the difficulties being created for them through the sale of excessively cheap alcohol by supermarkets. Liverpool Chamber’s Business Crime Drirect Team are promoting responsible retailing of alcohol throughout the city.

Liverpool John Moores University are conducting research on behalf of the NHS into attitudes around alcohol consumption in the north west . Join the big drink debate and have your say at www.bigdrinkdebate.com

Our office is on Slater Street… given the number of drunks we get to see (and sadly hear) daily at least some people doing their level best to help the local bars stay solvent 🙂
