Sugar, anyone?Yesterday (Thursday) Chamber staff attended the second meeting of Liverpool’s very own CreativeCoffee Club chapter. The meeting took place in the lovely Parr Street Studios.

Regular readers (we must have some) will know that the CreativeCoffee Club is an informal networking group that meets up with the aim of fostering links, ideas and creative working methods within all areas of our working lives.

This week’s event was attended by people from business, technology, academic and community-focused backgrounds. Coffee was drunk, chats were had and new connections made. There’s no set agenda to these meetings, so it’s a relaxed and refreshing way to meet new people. By the end of the session, everyone went away with something positive, whether this was new ideas on how to solve a particular problem, a commitment to work together in the future or just an expanded and enriched contact list.

It looks like we’ll try and make these meetings regular events now, probably the last Thursday in the month. We recommend anyone who wants to try a different kind of networking and idea-sharing should come along. It’s not just for the ‘creative’ industries – that’s part of the point: we can all work in different ways, no matter what we do.
