August is regarded as the graveyard shift for networking events with so many people on holiday. So it was with some trepidation that the Chamber organised a Platform Lunch at Il Forno on Duke Street during August.
We needn’t have worried as over 80 people attended and enjoyed a delicious meal prior to listening to the speakers.
Bryan Adams from PH Creative gave an excellent presentation on his companies products and even managed to bring Il Forno’s coffee machine into the proceedings.
He was followed by Andy Mantova, talking about the success of Smart Storage, his innovative new company, taking a completely fresh look at storage and the problems it can solve. In addition, Andy gave away a free weekend break in a business card draw.
Last, but not least came Terry Ann Hickey from the Mersey Skills Network, who gave details of the funding available to SMEs under Skillworks funding.
Procedings were wrapped up by Chamber host Carole Crosby, who also mentioned that Il Forno is just one of the restaurants covered by the Chamber’s LiveOne20 scheme which enables Chamber members to receive a 50% discount on food.

Our next Platform Lunch takes place at the Leo Casino on 12 September. You can book your place online here.
